Farzad Abbsnezhad Oskooei

Welcome to my personal page!

I am Farzad Abbasnezhad Oskooei*, a Research Associate and Part-Time Instructor at the Rawls College of Business, Texas Tech University. I also serve as Associate Director of NeuroTech Lab. I hold a Ph.D. in Finance, an M.Sc. in Financial Engineering and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering.

My research focuses on Corporate Finance with elements of NeuroIS. In my dissertation, I examine how investors interpret qualitative and nonverbal signals in corporate communications, integrating finance with machine learning and multimodal analysis using NeuroTech Lab equipment. I am interested in exploring new datasets and engaging in multidisciplinary research.

I have taught multiple sections of courses like Financial Modeling in Excel and Corporate Finance. Based on my background, I am prepared to teach other courses like Derivatives, Financial Markets & Institutions, Business Data Analytics, and Business Statistics.

* I usually omit the second part of my last name. Don't sweat pronouncing it. Everybody calls me Farzad :)
